This Remembrance Day, as we gather to honour all who served and sacrificed, 2025 marks a special milestone – 80 years since the end of World War II.
Whilst Remembrance Day commemorates the Armistice of 1918, this year we also reflect on eight decades since the final victory of 1945. From Dunkirk to D-Day, from the Battle of Britain to the "Forgotten Army" in Burma, millions of brave men and women endured unimaginable hardships to secure our freedom. Their courage brought an end to the deadliest conflict in human history, and their sacrifice must never be forgotten.
